Profile

The Swiss Association for Wood Research SAH provides contacts between wood research institutions, architects, and engineers as well as enterprises of the timber industries. SAH closely cooperates with professional associations and different authorities.

SAH encourages institutional cooperation between wood research institutes and supports the coordination of research and development, the dissemination of information about research projects, their results and their implementation in practice. SAH annually organizes an extension seminar for architects, timber builders and engineers, as well as employees of the woodworking industries and students featuring selected relevant topics. In addition there is a seminar on ongoing or recently finished research projects with relation to the forestry-wood value chain.

 
The Swiss Wood Research Bulletin is published biannually and offers information on topical research and development activities to SAH members and subscribers. Interesting projects and new findings are concisely reported in a scientific but easy to read manner.
